Fro'd out & Fabulous: The Chronicles of a Product Junkie

Big-chop Nov. 14, 2007
This section of my blog is to celebrate my natural hair journey and the glorious mishaps I go through as a natural. I've been taking the natural road every since my big chop took place on November 14, 2007, and quite frankly I'm happy being a natural. Being natural can be a hard journey to mask and can take some serious getting used to. I could say being natural is the best thing that has happened to me, but its also had its flaws like the fact that I'm a recovering Product Addict hence the name product junkie.

The Fabulous Fro
Products are everywhere and I can say that most of the products I have are cluttering up my tiny bathroom. I bet you think its easy to just pass by a product in the store and not pick it up, but not for me. I must have the next big thing but the problem with that is that I'm broke, yes I said it America I'm broke (man it hurts me to say that) so I've had to condemn my pj (product junkie) habits  to the cheaper and more rational price brackets.

So now to quench my natural pj habits and hair for that matter, I've motioned to try products like  V05 ($.99) or suave which are actually good products for the price range. I've tried a number of things for my hair even before becoming natural but my natural journey has proven to be far more complicated. I'll give you the ends and outs of the products I use or used, from the funkiest to the most expensive, even down to the way I detangle my hair which is a nightmare in itself.

Please leave your feedback and share some of the products you like to use and some of your hair stories, it doesn't matter if you have a perm or have no hair at all, (ummm no comment) I'd love to hear it...so comment away!

All About The Candy!

Hi, ummmm (clears throat) I'm KiorreyCandy, a regular 26 year old with a lot on my mind. I have an old soul and a big point of view on how to handle things I've often come across during my average but not so boring, no scratch that, BORING life. My main objective is to help others, to give advice when needed without judgement.

This blog will touch base on topics such as hair, relationships, cooking, sewing, music, life in general and everything else in between. I'm here to give the people what they want. I'm also here to network and gain friendships with people who think like I do or at least have something productive to say (or not). I love to laugh and I have a weird since of humor mixed with a little sarcastic flair. I'm not here to sugar coat anything even though my screen name portrays differently, which brings me to my disclaimer:

I'm not a doctor of any sorts, I'm here to give you my OPINION and to make suggestions on what I as a person thinks about what goes on in this world. Anything that I suggest is not meant to cure but to aid you in your normal day to day life.
